Scope
Delivery of a secure, hygienic environment, requiring specialist detailing and rigorous testing throughout design and fit-out.
A £14m bespoke 7000m² facility for pharmaceutical and pathological laboratories.
The project was completed 12 weeks ahead of schedule. Designed over three floors of accommodation, surrounding a central courtyard, the building provides strictly controlled specialist laboratory facilities with naturally ventilated offices and staff areas.
In all areas, the layouts, construction, finishes and furniture details were subject to rigorous technical review against NHS Health Technical Memoranda. Attention to detail was meticulous, with ‘mock ups’ being constructed both on and off site for review and approval by the end users and external regulatory authorities. Construction complexities included the construction of specialist aseptic suites and category 3 laboratories.
