Altnagelvin Tower Block, North Wing

The Altnagelvin Hospital Tower Block project involved the refurbishment to the wards on Level 7 & 8 of an occupied 10-storey hospital building. Works included demolition, formation and configuration of new office spaces with kitchens and ICT Hub rooms, new finishes and the removal and installation of new clinical M&E services.

The site was centrally located within the main hospital complex, surrounded on three sides with sensitive buildings and the main ‘blue light route’ to the north. We therefore had to be highly strategic with our delivery planning and traffic management.
